Interest in another PR Golden Squad (6v6) competition?

After reading threads of yore, I am curious as to what the general interest is in forming another Golden Squad competition, 6v6 format on skirmish maps akin to the rules outlined by Matrox, with a few edits for the changes in the game since then.

Obviously with the current PRWC and lead-up to a new release, forming one now would be silly, but in the downtime after this could be another dynamite community project. Winning would include bragging rights, userbars and blah blah blah cool stuff.

The most important needs for this to go ahead are first and foremost hosting, including the ability for two servers at once depending on the amount of squads that enter, and a dedicated management team to ensure things flow properly (looking at you PRTA)

All discussion/comments/criticism is welcome, just keep it on topic.

we might be working on something like that, but dont take that as a confirmation

Sounds interesting. Squad of 6 random players, the ones that come along together on public server or a whole clan devided into 6-man squad ? :/ Just geting it straight

Anyone can go with anyone, no random squads or defined ones. Must have a name, a tag isn't necessary.

It is do-able, last time it fell over was due to admins falling out and lack of server support which I had no control over. I was particularly annoyed as I put many hours into setting it up for it to collapse. If we could source an AU/EU/US/RU/Brazil server, I think we would be able to make it happen again, but we would need solid agreements where no one can back out.

I have always wanted to run it again, except PR doesn't officially have the scope to host it ourselves, as our comm events servers are used for tourny and testing, as they should be tbh. We need a lot off community backing to get this working.
