problem with voip

Post by patricktheconquer »

i'm sorry to make another thread about a problem regarding voip but the problem is that i have got a new pc and i installed bf2 and ofcourse PR as the first mod and i encountered a problem
it is when i turn voip on in the options ingame it keeps resseting back to default and it is anoying when you play on a squad that uses voip and get's kicked out after 5 minutes because i can't hear them

so if you know how to fix it please answer and tell me how to fix it

and thank you and may PR grow bigger everyday :-)

go to documents\battlefield2\profiles\0001\audio.con

open that with notepad and set the stuff you want manually, then set it to read only and Bf2 won't be able to override it

I dunno if that'll work, but thats what I'd do.

If you don't use a mic try this:
whatshisname55 wrote:It seems that BF2 can't enable VOIP unless it detects an input device. Right click on the speaker icon in your system tray and click on Recording Devices. Look for either Realtek Digital Input or Stereo Mix. If they are disabled, enable one or both of them. If you don't see them, right click anywhere in the list of devices and check Show Disabled Devices.
