Yeah, people are using games to fry their brain, but still you learn things from them.

One huge problem PR community has is the fact that 90% of Russians don't speak English. At all.
The thing is, they don't need to learn entire English, but it would be good if they could at least understand basic stuff like "enemy", "hold fire", etc.

Now, this idea of mine... It's just an idea. I'm good with coming up with stuff, but I'm too lazy to work on them. So if people think this make any sense, someone needs to make a list of words that are important for in game communication.

I instantly recognized the problem with translation. What good is it to have all the phrases translated, if you don't know how to read them?
There is a partial solution to the problem. Couple of sites offer natural text-to-speech, like this one:
Free text to speech software with Natural Voices-- Free NaturalReader

Maybe some of you guys is looking for a college project involving language and society and... whatever... so maybe he can work on this, come up with the list of phrases, and record some people saying them in different languages.

And when you go to real-life, and you go to speak someone with that language, you are gonna say "Hi, I don't understand!" and then "Oh okay, enemy spotted North move!". Followed by chick leaving...

I learned a few russian words, though...

Spaciba - Thank you!
Shashkaaaaa - Smoke!
Uraahhhhhhhhhhh! - Go!!

:)
i dont believe Urah actually means go. Its more just a war cry if i recall. I know for sure that Byriot means attack.

In pinyin mandarin chinese Sorry is Dui bu chi

Thank you - Xie xie

me - wo

you - Ni

Bad - bu

English - Yingwen

Chinese - Zhongwen

Ying = English

Zhong = Chinese

1 - Yee

2 - Er "Are"

3 - Sun or something, can't remember.

4 - Si

5 - Wo

6 - Leo

7 - Chi

8 - Ba

9 -

10 - who knows anymore. Just getting the first 6 was hard.

Wo shi _______ ni shi guixing ma? Not entirely sir I spelt it right, but it should come out to something like my name is _____ what's your name?

Mandarin Chinese is really complicated. Since each word has 4 sounds which can completely change the meaning. I forgot all 4 for ma which is put on the end of something to make it a yes or no question most times.

One of the meanings was horse I remember. Forgot the other 3.

My Pinyin may not be perfect, been a while.

Wow, Hebrew sounds awful in English..
And I think I would change some of your e's with i's, it would sound better, other than that good job :)

a good thing is to start installing your games in whatever language you want to learn. i've learned just as much english from the games i've played as i did in school, if not more.

Yalla is a very common word here, for all Israeli ethnic groups!

True. "Urah" is the same as english "hurah"! E.g. an expression of joy and determination or something like that. "Vperiot" - "go!" or "advance!".

And yeah, PR is great for maintaining the flow of my engrish.
