Memory .dll error
For me, this is the second buggiest mod after that crappy gmod.
Seriously, i am trying to join a game for like 40 minutes already and 2 reboots.
First, i wanted to join the server, when map loaded(after 5 minutes) the map changed, after it loaded the second map(5 more minutes) game crashed to desktop, i rejoined the game, tried to join the server again and it crashed after it loaded the map(5 minutes), i rebooted the pc, joined a server, loaded the map(5-10 minutes) and then i got kicked by PB for 2 minutes.
This is outrageous.
*Tried to join another server, loaded until 14% and then i got another memory.dll error.

Re: Second buggiest mod.
If you're trying to join the 128p limit test server it takes time during mapchanges. If that occurs in 64p limit servers then I suggest you lower the graphic settings and continue testing.
However, don't spit out of ignorance. Next time ask for help rather than defamating a game that works very well for most players (only servers being an occasional headache, but that's normal).

Re: Second buggiest mod.
It's not the mod's fault, exactly. If the map changed, well, it's because the server wanted to. If you're experiencing CTD's, perhaps your PC can't run the game properly. Check your configs, cause PR is significally more demanding than vBF2. Also, remember to install patch 1.5 into BF2. About PB... ehhhh, that's a long, tragic story with player of PR, BF2, and dozens of other games... perhaps you should make a research to fix PB, there's is hundreds of solutions across the web, dozens in PR forums itself. Good luck, see ya on the battlefield.

These sound like Battlefield 2 problems not Project Reality problems.

Re: Second buggiest mod.
Very sorry to hear that, voiletblood. I moved your thread to the BF2 PR support forum. Our community should be able to help you on your way
.
My advice: try to run in windowed mode for a while. If you crash-to-desktop (CTD), an error should appear. If you see this, post up the error.
In the mean time, what are your system specs?

I also used Windows Ready Boost with my 8GB usb2.0 stick and it was kinda the same.
When i can play, i usually have FPS from 25 to 40.
*I have the latest BF2 patch.

I would try to un-clock cpu (FSBclock?) and lower settings to use less RAM.violetblood wrote:Win7 32bit

Re: Second buggiest mod.
with those settings I'd recommend getting another 1GB or 2GB of RAMvioletblood wrote:http://screenshot.xfire.com/s/111860398-4.jpg

which is good news for you because upgrading RAM is probably the easiest and cheapest way to upgrade a computer
for now, textures definately need to be set to medium

Also run the game as administrator.
Right Click Shortcut > Properties > Compatibility
It as fixed some issues for me in the past.

The game works great for me!
Try running your machine at default speed ie no overclock...just for testing.
Also, isnt there a 3gb max addressable range with 32 bit windows?

Sounds like PEBKAC errors to me. =\Reddeath wrote:These sound like Battlefield 2 problems not Project Reality problems.
Reduce settings, you'll be able to play fine. Upgrading RAM, like some other people have said, is your best bet.

Re: Second buggiest mod.
I set the textures to high again and lowered the lighting and shadow settings. I think it's better now.
I did crash on map change, on the 128 server and i also crashed once in another server where when i entered a car and press M and N at the same time(or a few milliseconds delay).
How do i play in windowed mode and how do i set to toggle crouch?

Re: Second buggiest mod.
To play in windowed mode, add +fullscreen 0 in the end of the start up icon propeties(dunno how to say it lol), so left click the pr icon, choose propetries and then the destination should look like this: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods\pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 0

Re: Second buggiest mod.
u need to lower ur settings, PR compared to bf2 is different and your comp isnt exactly the best for High settings.
