First-Off I wanna thank the Devs and the community for many many hours of good gaming i had since i "discovered" PR the last year (june i think)!
Then i wanna say, even though i am reading a lot in the forums, this is my first post here, so i hope it is in the right section and in proper form (language, etc.). If not, feel free to move it where ever it belongs.
I searched with different keywords but did not find anything that could help me with my problem(s). I want to give you guys a quick introduction.
1. Since last year i ran PR on 3 different TFTs. 19" (1280x1024), 22" (1680x1050), and for a couple of days now on my 24" (1920x1200).
2. When i got my new Screen i reinstalled my Computer from scratch (I do that from time to time). Not because of the new screen of course but it just fell on the same week.
3. When i thought i had everything up and running again i experienced the worst tearing ever. So i read about the d3doverrider which works perfect - no tearing at all - lucky me!!!
BUT...
Once i started Fools Road i encountered this phenomenon with the trees and grass:
(praying for the links and vids to work; these are my first VurtualDub vids + youtube ups ever
Right now i have to play with Super-Sampling what (in combination with the vsync) really drops my fps. Before i never used SS-AA and can not remember having such sparkling trees which cause my eyes to bleed after 5 min of gameplay.
My Spec:
Phenom II X4 955
4 gb RAM
HD 5770 1 gb
My Settings:
In Game:
1920x1200
Everything High,
Textures Medium (High in combination with SS-AA is unplayable ~ 25 fps and below)
In CCC:
Everything all the way to the right
I tried several mixed options but did not see any improvement.
Right now i have the 11.4 beta driver, but it was the same with 11.2 which was new, when i reinstalled everything. I already deleted the cache several times.
So guys, i wanna thank you for reading, apologize for that wall of text and hope u can help me, so that i can enjoy the game instead of always wondering what is wrong...
If any info is missing, i am sorry, please tell me what i should add.
thanks again and kind regards,
Kilo
