I think PR may be shooting itself in the foot with having BF2 PR, then Vietnam PR, and then ARMA 2 PR. Splitting up the small community may not be the best thing. Im sure that the ARMA 2 mod will bring some new plays, but who knows.
I know if it werent for certain servers I wouldnt be playing PR. You go into some servers and people are running around with their heads cut off, one manning vehicles, using logis as transport, not worried about teamwork in the slightest.
Have you ever think about when will ppl stop playing PR? :(

Well if the general population was given any information maybe people could be more excited about it. Most people have forgotten about it and will probably be surprised by it's release.[R-DEV]AfterDune wrote:Now, now, now (I'm actually posting with a smile on my face, as your post makes me laugh quite hard).
Not going to comment any further, would not add anything to this thread. There's just no need to bark about something you know next to nothing about.

I wouldn't be too sure of that. ArmA II should bring a slew of new devs to the table and is probably a necessary step in guaranteeing the long-term success of PR, especially because its engine is very near to being, if not already, future-proofed - unlike that of BF2. Also, keep in mind that all PR's new models are now being made up to ArmA's (rather high) standards and then given lower LoDs to work with BF2. In other words, if the team gets five modelers for ArmA, they get five modelers for BF2 and vice-versa. Thus both mods are essentially benefitting each other.
As for PR:V, I wouldn't get too worked up about it. From what I've heard, it's actually just a couple of Vietnam War-themed maps for PR and NOT a separate mod.
Anyway, my guess is the majority of PR's hardcore community will have moved to PR: ArmA II after its second or third major release, although I also believe that's dependant on how well the devs optimize the game for multiplayer.

Look at FH. FH1 was still being palyed by many many people until FH2 was released. I think it might be the same thing for PR.
And some of you have to stop bashing PRV....

FH? Look at Counter Strike!!! Its still going strong and its 10 years old. I predict it will be a loooong time before the master server shuts down.

Absolutely Argee dude, Everybody in PR knows their job, You wont find a jerk in PR servers.GoreZiad wrote:i will get tired of pr long before it's gone. cause people move on to other games, and i play this because i like the people i play with more than the actual game. when teamwork-servers stop existing, pr will die for me.
but i love pr. favorite game of all time. when people play together as a team that is.
pub play sucks.
and thats makes good community and good realism ingame atmosphere.
