Just a new guy, checking in

Post by FatalChunk »

Hello there, i just recently installed BF2 after an absence and thought i would check out PR. If anybody could direct me to any friendly servers that would be great and if someone could perhaps show me the ins and outs of playing then that would be even better (: .

Add me on Xfire - gaurd502
And we can play or what ever one day.
I usually play on the TAR server, but I also like UKWF, TG, and Teamplayergaming.

for a new person these servers are great:
- Tactical gamer (TG)
- UK WareFare (UKWF)
- Noobs With Attitude (NWA)
- Chigago Hardcore

These usually have friendly attmospheres or at elast used to, however Chigago does have a few complaints sometimes about its admins, but then again which server doesn't?

welcome to the mod ;)

just tell any squad you join that you're new and stick to a simple kit like the rifleman for a little while :)

Any moment now, a weird guy named Wicca will ask you to add him to your xfire and offer you personal instructions. Fear him, but accept his offer.

YAAY NEWBIES :D ahha . ... i think PR is the only place that looks out for and Enjoys having New members play with us hahaha . . .

Really honestly ALL of them are pretty friendly just make sure you Join an english speaking server if you want to communicate easily.

Try out Kokan and Hookers its a pretty easy going server with the same map over and over it will help you get situated with the game a bit. i would refrain from Joining CO op servers but only to learn the BASICS of PR ;D

Let me just echo what Rudd said earlier...

TELL THE SQUAD LEADER (and squad members) YOU ARE NEW!

I cannot stress this enough!

But before playing the game, just read through the manual (will save you a lot of trouble, trust me). Most stuff you'll probably learn in the game, but the manual is extremely important to read. It explains the basics.

Also, check this out: realitymod.com/mumble

Also, here's a little guide I've put some time ago (while we still didn't have mortars - tip: if you hear those coming, run for cover (preferably a building, if not available, a foxhole, and as a last resort, if no other available cover, hit the dirt!) Perhaps you find something useful in it...

Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

Project Reality Training. It's run by PRTA so you can check in here or on their website. :)

If you want to get a feel for the weapons/vehicles, a coop server is a great place to practice.

You can join a squad and grab any weapon or vehicle without someone whining that your wasting the asset.

Hey new man. I am Wicca. Do not fear, i come in peace. You already have another man who you have added in xfire. He can help you.

I suggest you use a mic and be calm and patient.

Hey FatalChunk!

I see you have requested some help, and I can give you some advice.

Apart from the advice I gave you the other day,

DO NOT join my squad, as you will die :)

See you again,
Declan
