Tried searching and couldnt find anything, maybe used the wrong keywords, idk.
Anyway, am I able to just get vanilla BF2 and make an account and play PR off that?
or would I also need to get special forces and the booster packs too? which would be the Complete collecton of BF2.
I ask because I've been playing using my brother's account (I want my own username :S) and he has the complete collection so idk if I can just go the cheaper route and get the vanilla BF2 for like $8 off amazon
In terms of software:
- vBF2 (original BF2 no booster packs required)
- Patch BF2 to 1.41 and then to 1.50 (this will give you the booster packs for free, doesn't include SF though)
- PR mumble (this comes with a Project reality download)
- Adobe reader (will allow you to read the manual which is recomended to get you started)
Hardware wise:
- 1 GB free (not being used by the system) RAM
- a Duel core CPU with or more than 2.0 GHZ
- 512MB GPU memory
- 8 GB Hard disk memory
- Mouse, keyboard, screen, speakers
- A microphone (this makes you able to communicate effectivly)

You can have as many accounts as you like with just one CD key.

True, but you'll need your own CD-Key to play other people online, BF2 does a key check when you go online to see if anyone else is using the same one. If there is, you can't log in.

Indeed, but since he's apparently playing vanilla currently, the same also applies there.
And, as others have already mentioned, you need a mic or everybody will hate you. They'll also do that if you don't read the manual.
