Re: Creative X-FI @ Ultra High = BSOD only in PR
illidur, I used 3.3 beta 3.7 and 3.3 beta 4.7 and I am still blue screening.
I random blue screen some times on load some times in game.
Trying the 3.3 no beta drivers now.

dont waste your time testing other versions of that driver. they dont have the only chance of a fix. we titanium users will have to wait till that other driver gets a working fix then i'll ask him to put that same fix on our titanium. but we need people to test his newest driver release.talkinBEERmug wrote:illidur, I used 3.3 beta 3.7 and 3.3 beta 4.7 and I am still blue screening.

I tested the new Version and still got BSoD. Switching back to Hardware/High is just sad, so i am trying to use Creative/High for now....

high dont work too - but you can restart after every round. get rid off the intro and favorites and restart last like 30 secs - when you go play pr when a map starts then its ok. can someone give feedback to the modder?

:/
Restarting after every map sounds like a pain in the a**. Still hoping that this PAX guy can code a fix.

When you join at the beginning (you can see how many tickets the teams has, and i found very often a beginning match), then you can play 1 hour fine. after this a 30 sec restart dont hurt;many leaving server so you have your slot. teamswitch may a problem.

Re: Creative X-FI @ Ultra High = BSOD only in PR
he can get better settings from the xonar without bsod compared to creative's hardware mode or restarting every round. at least 5.1 works is what im saying. eax 5.0 is and always has been dead. but im pretty sure it was the setting he was using ( maybe high?) maybe the drivers changed or something but the xonar in PR i was listening to sounded good.Garack wrote:asus xonar has no ultra xfi quality

also it has a control panel that makes sense.

Dammit...
BTW: to speed up restarts, go to my documents/BF2/your profile and in one of the files, I think it's "general" you might find lines like "favorite server" etc. Delete all those...
Now the game will not check the servers every time you log in. My start up takes abou 15-30 seconds, it used to be 2 minutes.

also you can skip the intro vids by right clicking the shortcut, go to properties. in the target box at the end put this: +restartMegagoth1702 wrote:You speak from my heart man... :-/ I dont ever want to go back to high...

it will look something like this.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +restart
