Mumble Tutorial:1 How to set it up

Mumble is a great system to use whenever on a server. Its easy to set up. It takes 4 minutes max to set up the first time, and afterwards it can take 20 sec. completely easy to use and very reliable. Not much problems with it at all.

Why Use Mumble PR

• able to talk to players near you(without hearing everyone)
• Easy to use ingame(fully custumizable)
• Allows positional communication to close players
• Talk over a radio channel to chat with SL's on your team
• Makes teamwork easier
• Less voip clutter
• COMMUNICATION

IDEAS For the upcoming tutorial for mumble. certain problems and solutions, please post here what you think should be in the next tutorial done by me.

Is their a way to play your music trough mumble? I would really like to no that, so I can play CCR while in a huey or ACDC when driving in Ma Humvee.

hello
i always have problems hearing players located exactly BEHIND me ingame. they are very very quiet then, and i can hardly hear them
I use 2.1 audio. When I try to switch to headphones in mumble settings it crashes, but I know that this would solve the problem.
Its really annoying when im e.g. a transport pilot and can not hear where the guys behind me want to go to.
Any sollutions for that?



@Ghost: heard a crazy trans pilot once who always played the ride of the valkyrs by wagner when he was transporting people. i liked that i have to admit

Stereo mix is the solution, but people will hear the PR sounds as well. To avoid that you can use external mp3 player plugged into line-in.
