Graphics Card
How much better is the HD 5450 versus the Geforce 7300 GT. I dont really know the differences when its between an nvidia and an amd card.

In general when comparing cards, yuo can use the bnechmarks at passmark.com and their subsite PassMark Software - Video Card Benchmark Charts - Video Card Model List
The 5450 HD is about equivalent to the 7800, which means the cost to buy the HD 5450 would be better saved to buy a better card in the future.
The 5450 is sitll not going to run any future games like BF3 at a decent framerate at low.medium settings.

Yes there would be little advantage of changing your GPU by such a small amount. These cheap ?100 or less GPUS are generally there for HD video and the occasional old game. So your 7300 can probably do this fine and you would not see a worth while improvement. The best thing to do would be to save some money by not buying any games for a while and then spend that saved money on a new GPU
