Ventrilo Overlay not displaying

From what I read from the Ventrilo forums, it is a current issue with Windows 7 that the developers are looking into. I am just curious if anyone here has found a solution I could use?

I'll look into it, but i'm on Windows 7. Do not automatically assume I do not use Mumble. Since everyone has differing opinions, I have to use in-game VoIP, Mumble, Ventrilo, as well as TeamSpeak 3 with every single application having different buttons for both regular VoIP as well as VoIP when your a squad leader for instance. So get off your Mumble high horse.

UPDATE: Not only that, your information is outdated. Thanks for the attempt but the download link is no longer working and this is with a Ventrilo version that is about 2 years old.

That guide might not the be right, but try to googling more.
I have some vent overlay program running on Win7 64bit and iirc i got it to work with some Vista guide. Though i cant remember exactly how i did it...
