It's going to be running permanently, I just mean all the "older" maps have been removed for now and we're only playing the 15 new maps in our rotation.

Great I love these maps but consider removing "Street" and "Op BH"...

First one is impossible to play if bot AI is set ot anything higher than 0.1 second one seems to crash the server for some reason or causes CTD to clients

I enjoy your server, one small suggestion though, isn't it possible for you guys to enable using BOT-locked vehicles and all enemy kits, like it is on the =GB= co-op servers?

No!! plz don't remove any maps.
No!! plz don't enable using bot-only vehicles.

Edit: I do agree with enabling the ability to pick up any kit from an enemy.

Why wouldn't you want to have BOT-locked vehicles be usable by everyone? For example today there were 4 people arguing over a Cobra when there was another BOT-locked one just sitting on the other helipad. I really don't see a disadvantage at all.

Ok you want some reasons eh?

1. There would be double amount of vehicles which would make it easier to win battles when they are already easy with the teamwork you find on V-G.

2. Those vehicles would lower the quality of Project Reality since they are made for bots and not humans (or aliens).

3. Those vehicles are way to maneuverable and would give that player an unfair advantage.

4. Players who fly that vehicle may go on a deployment server thinking they can fly only to find that there airplane can't turn that sharp and end up wasting the asset.

5. If all the vehicles are manned then there will be less infantry when the infantry squads can already be low on men at times.

Thank You

I'm at the point where I don't notice them anymore so whatever the Dev's decide to do will work out regardless. I would just leave it as is.

You're fighting BOTs. It's always going to be easy. Might aswell have some extra fun in it.

Howcome? Co-op is meant to mess around (no, that doesn't mean being a retard), BOT vehicles that are different are really just jets with better agility and infinite flares (which doesn't really matter as the AA manages to get you often regardless) and choppers with slightly different handling.

It's humans vs BOTs on VG main server, how would you get an advantage on them if they are using those vehicles in the first place? If anything you're just making it even.
Ridge wrote:4. Players who fly that vehicle may go on a deployment server thinking they can fly only to find that there airplane can't turn that sharp and end up wasting the asset.
That's their fault, if they only flew BOT jets before attempting to go at it in deployment chances are they haven't practiced enough and would end up wasting it anyways. If it's on your main server they wouldn't fly the normal one either as it isn't a training server and if they crashed it (which they would) they would get kicked according to the asset waste rules.

On most maps it's just an extra chopper or jet, exception being Muttrah and Barracuda, but for now the server is running the new map pack in which there's only 1 or 2 BOT-locked vehicle: Oilfields - 2 Kiowas; Road Rage - 1 Apache; Harvest - 1 Kiowa; Midnight Sun - 1 Cobra; Desert Rats - 1 Typhoon, 1 Apache;

Also, some maps would highly benefit from it, most notably Karbala in which all 4 air assets are BOT-locked.

Anyways, what would be really good would be the ability to use all enemy kits.

I was waiting to read your answer Stealthgato and I'll have to say you did good. I haven't been able to play the new map pack yet so I don't know how many bot-vehicles there are on the maps. The devs should give us at least one heli on karbala though.

I don't agree with making the games even easier and shorter.

I'm sorry to hear you will never use that "SHIT". It's disappointing as it feels like it's coming from close-mindedness rather than strong reasons. Then again it is your server, I'm just throwing a suggestion.

I just got banned from the server for accidentally teamkilling "The Boss". Where can I go to feebly appeal my ban?

I like this server because it is the only one playing the new coop maps.

Yeah, it was him.
Do I need to make an account on their forums and appeal or can I do it from here?

We have a clearly visible Ban Appeal section in our Forum, you should take it there.

Whatever dude. You think coop is for messing around so I'm not even going to waste my time.

Have a nice day.

I think having access to the bot aircraft for those that seem to want to "learn" how to fly at first. It took me a long time to learn how to fly in BF2. Some aircraft in PR is just too sensitive or "tight" for the mouse/keyboard. I prefer the bot aircraft on some cases/maps. Other cases/maps I can fly the regular non-bot aircraft just fine. Just depends on which one it is. Anyway, good point Stealthgato!

Just a quick add to this..ever tried dogfighting against MIG29 operated by bot in human F16? ;) Got the point?

As for the learning side, no I disagree, learning to fly jets in PR is not good with bot ones. Its easy at some point to take off and fly, even bomb on laze, but hte hardest thing ( for me at least and I think the most will agree ) is landing safely and rearming.
Landing bot jet is easy cause they accelerate/decelerate quickly, but trying to do that with "real" F16 will get you killed.
In coop its easy cause there is not much pressure for crashing a jet, but flying such valuable asset in deployment takes a lot of responsibility and skill. What we have in coop? Kashan Desert map with F16/MIG29 and A10/SU25...on both MEC and US airfields is somewhat easy to land and rearm, but on deployment on maps like Quinling its indeed hard to land cause terrain is a real pain and airfields are narrow and in mountains

What happened to only playing the new maps?

I get to go on finally and the server is running Muttrah City.

I guess I will play by myself then.
