Hello, I recently just started to play on the computer and I reinstalled my old BF2. Now for some reason whenever I play your mod Project Reality I always get a connection issue after a few minutes then I get booted. Sometimes I get booted right after joining a server. This is kind of frustrating because PR is the most fun I've had with a game in a while. I already tried updating my PB and I also tried disabling VOIP. I tried to disable my routers firewall but there's no "Disable Firewall" in the "Firewall" tab. Below is the picture of the Firewall tab. Do I also have to disable windows firewall? Is it my antivirus eset? What can I do to fix this problem because I just want to relax and play hours on end of this mod and not get kicked every few minutes. Please help and I will do whatever I can to pay you back somehow. Also I do have teamviewer if someone can help via that.
PS. My system settings
win 7 x64
8gb g.skill ram
650 corsair psu
nvidia 460gtx 2gb
sandy bridge 2600k
1920x1080
i play the game on maxed out everything.
Thanks,
Ethan

Can't read anything screenshot to small. What d-link router are you using?

Re: Kicks from the game
I use the DIR-615
hardware C1
Firmware 3.01
I did extensive research and I found out that D-Link routers don't let you turn off their firewall? That's what I found out of like 13 pages. Also I just installed a bunch of programs to clean my computer up like registrys, ram defrag, and almost everything you can think off. If I'm lucky I can get 30 mins of playing before I get kicked. Normally I get about 10. This doesn't happen with BF2 though. Odd.
Also I played PR on my old Vista x86 rig and never had this problem. I've been using the same router. Should I disable Windows and my Eset antivirus firewall?

It's still small but if you click the picture, it links you to the imageshack source and click on that picture again. Should be somewhat readable.
Saw what you suggested in another thread. This is what I got from that pb app

I also when to system32 and can't even find a pnkbstra.exe there. where can I download it if im missing it?
Can you teamview me? I can be your labrat. Whatever you need to fix this.

Run through this list and I'll read the setup on your router.
Punk Buster not updated:
Before you go online to join a server
you should:
1. Download pbsvc
2. Start pbsvc installer, you should see options for install, uninstall, test.
3. Run the Uninstaller, then delete the PB folder to remove any leftover files.
4. Restart your computer.
5. reinstall punk buster files with pbsvc( if your using Vista DO NOT set compatibility to XP, run as admin ok)
6. After pcsvc installs, click the "test" option to check the punk buster install you just did.
5. Make sure it comes back "all green"
6.Download pbsetup
(pbsvc DOES NOT install pbsetup.
If your using Vista DO NOT set compatibility to XP, run as admin ok)
7.Create a pbsvc installer shortcut AND pbsetup program shortcut on your desktop.
8.Run pbsetup (from the shortcut on your desktop) add BF2 to the games list, then hit update."
(pbsvc installs the punk buster 'engines' or applications.
PBsetup installs the files/gas the 'engines run)
Check Punkbuster B is set to auto re-start.

on Services while PR is running. Select Punkbuster B, right click, select properties, select the
recovery tab and make sure they all say "Restart the service" for all three dropdowns. You can do
the same for PB A, but generally speaking, it's the B client that stops responding. Any time you
update PB, you may need to re-do this step.

Re: Kicks from the game
Never mind unfortunately I still get the timeout. Man...ugh.
I think I figured out the problem. Pnkbuster B never starts by itself. I checked it to make it restart itself if it doesnt start after 0 minutes and when I restart the comp it didn't show up. It keeps resetting it. Also does it have anything to do with the fact I don't have pnkbuster files in my system32?
Ok. I think it was crashing of a connection error because of Pnkbuster B was never running before. Now I manually start it before I run PB and check taskmanager to make sure its running. I think this fixes it but it's just annoying that I have to start it everytime to make sure its running. I tried to make it run by itself and restart the service if theres a problem or its not started by itself but everytime I restart my computer it resets the settings to default.
