Honestly I think that we'll leave that to FH2. PR devs have enough stuff in their hands at it is.

EDIT: I think it's suppose to be "suggestion" instead of "proposal". Proposal sounds like you're asking your girlfriend to marry you.

There's already so many World War 2 games, let alone, Mods... I think there isn't a front somebody hasn't already covered. I'd be interested if there were a mod where they specifically, just flat out admitted they were going to rip off Saving Private Ryan (DOD game pretty close with the map Merderet and the other one... which name I forgot... :( ).

Other than that, I'm all World War'd out...

There was a map in FH2, it was called mederet river or something was just exactly SPR. And whoever had the tiger tank in that map would just ravage the whole other team (at least in sp). Even the music during loading was that Edith Piaf song you heard in SPR.

WW2 is soooo over-represented in FPS.

I think a WW1 mod would be nice: mostly single shot rifles, trenches that run sneak across the entire map, and 200 players.

Special kits would include: LMG kit like chauchat and BAR, submachine gun, trench guns and scoped rifle.

Constructible assets would include deployable maxim machine guns, mine throwers (early equivalent of mortar), field cannons of some kind, etc.

Area attacks would include artillery and some kind of a poison gas attack perhaps.

Im not sure how logistics could be represented, but that can be hashed out.

Vehicles would be largely unnecessary.

Download the older version of the PR levels, play Operation Compton/hills of hamgyong, give everyone lee enfields and enjoy then?

Ramelle Neuville by Otolikos? It was a re-make of an FH1 map by the same name and creator.

Ok seriously who is the dev that keeps subtle bumping this? let yourself be known the one that actually believes this is a good enough idea to need the constant attention of this forum... I don't get it, it has been going on for months and months now.

I would like to play this mod. I like slow paced combat of PR, slow reloading, patien aiming, intense firefights, nice balance between different weapons, using of bayonets in CQB. FH2 is a very poor quality mod, something like "OMG BICYCLES UNIVERSAL CARRIERS LOT OF RARE WEAPONS&VEHICLES UNLIMITED" with vanilla gameplay

Sorry, Kord, but that simply is not correct. FH2 is far from Vanilla-Gameplay. It also is far more in favor of realism and I don't know how you define "poor quality mod", but from a technical point of view, FH2 is definitely ranking far at the top. Its level of object detail and overall map quality is unmatched. PR has far worse map and object detail, but that's due to perfomance reasons on the huge PR maps plus the demanding python.

A WW2 PR would be very interesting, but I don't think it is possible to do that without the support of an existing model pool. A cooperation with FH2 on this matter would be the only possibility to get results in a reasonable amount of time.

How can you say that seriously...very poor quality mod...you maybe don't like their gameplay, but their attention to detail on models and maps is something pretty scarce within BF2 mods.

They're game play is kind of a mix between vanilla bf2 and semi realism. The models are beautiful in every way. The textures are just outstanding, I take a look at them to see what I can improve on, because I admire their work so much. The game is great, its most likely just not your cup of tea.

It's sad you don't see the quality these guys put in this mod. Seriously, FH2 is top notch quality. Perhaps you mean to say you don't like its gameplay..?
