Well it depends markers for AA and stuff like that i definately take seriously but an infantry or vehicle makes me walk more carefully, if its near a cp that we are defending i take it seriously. Most people i think are the same but since markers are static and the battle can move swiftly its hard to gauge how relevant the threat is if the enemy has vehicles.

The commander can remove the marker manually. Right click on the marker (or a place nearby) and left click DELETE. Using a right click on DELETE removes all markers on map.Mouthpiece wrote:So how to "remove" those markers and mark the current exact APC's location?

I get more annoyed by SL's not using markers rather than using them inaccurately, anything's better than nothing after all

The question was there only because later it was followed by an explanation. But thank you for the info anyway.TheComedian wrote:The commander can remove the marker manually. The marker is accompained by a big sign on team chat, you know.Mikemonster wrote:Out of interest is it really that much more of an overload for someone to say 'Tank in A5 on the marker' rather than just putting down a Tank marker? Chatter like that helps my SA, it doesn't hinder it.

Yeah, I know. But honestly I don't notice a lot of the **** that pops up on there - If i'm in a situation that is busy i'd much rather have someone just tell me rather than run into an enemy squad and have someone say 'oh yeah I marked that 2mins ago, you should check the Chat more often'.
Also I think talking on SL Comms encourages better communication and therefore the team to work better.

Markers are for the soldier, too, and just for Officers.
I've seen squads gravitate toward or away from markers. Very useful.

I myself take Map markers serously. Because I know people dont set them for nothing. When I see a marker I know there is or was enemy activity before, so I pay attention to that area... to not take them seriously would be foolish.
As some guys may know, I play CS 1.6 additionally, so I would say ignoring markers would just be as youd ignore the info that theres an enemy camping behind the next corner on de_nuke....
