[Weapon] Mp5 SD [WIP]

This is a mp5 SD which i thought would be a cool edition to PR if i was to finish it. Im going to include some pics. Since my m40 (https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f388-p ... 5-wip.html) i am trying to improve on limiting my poly and vertex counts so i decreased the smoothing to none as of now and i tried not to overcomplicate it. VERTEX: 4711 FACE: 5127.

Also, if there is a link to tutorial for unwrapping a model and texturing it i would really love it. :) thank you!

looks nice, but who's going to use it in pr?
pr is about regular soldiers, and they generally don't use silencers.
you might want to release this weapon for regular bf2 though so people might add it themselves to their personal mods.
perhaps opk is interested as well as their mp5 models (with all due respect to the opk devteam) aren't the best.

looking good!

as mentioned above i doubt this will get used in PR, however there's no harm in the practice and some other mod teams might be interested


one thing i noticed is you have a cylinder for the inner barrell, if you make this a cone it'll save a few poly or tris or something. there that was my entire modelling knowledge :)

I thought it could give an edge for pilots at a lower cost then supplying them with m4's much like the mech crewman kit.

If you make it a standard MP5 it would have more of a chance of being implemented, as it could be given to generic/fictional factions like MEC and Militia. For instance it could replace the vanilla MP5 which is currently the MEC Crewman weapon.

Also- completely offtopic kinda- on BF editor when i start, i go to mod manager, content, everything is unchecked nothing shows in objects, i check everything, save, ok, NO OBJECTS, check again everything is unchecking again, i am pretty stumped.

PR Pilots are unarmed ;)
Also the lower cost thing is a bit weird. After all its Project Reality. If they should get a weapon in the game it should be the real life counterpart. But like Snazz said, if you make a normal MP5 the Devs might use it for the MEC crewman.

On the Kozelsk are number of static corpses,so on some other map with Militia or Insurgents maybe should
be static corpses of some Special Forces that have been killed earlier,and their kits all around
including MP5SD,and be able to pick :D
Someone like my idea ?

Why the MP5k stock, though? That's surely a possible configuration of the weapon, but it seems like a very rare one, compared to the default stocks (fixed/collapsible).

Keep going with it, i think its pretty good looking right now! Just because it has a sound suppressor doesnt mean it may not be used.
