C4 Detonator

Whenever I place my C4 on a logi truck in singleplayer, the detonator immediately shows. When I do it on multiplayer Muttrah servers.. it doesn't. Though, I do recall a time when it did work on HOG. Why is this?

Maybe your not suppose be placing C4 on vehicles at all?

Last time i remember that's not a real life Tactics used by Real military forces

Insurgents don't get C4 and there are no insurgents on Muttrah.

Bots probably can't be coded to allow for the arming delay in Singleplayer (Co-Op), so it's likely it was left out by the SP coders for that reason.

I said why isn't it in multiplayer? It works in SP.

Yeah, besides the point. Why can't I place C4 on vehicles? On the certain trucks without the roof, I can, but I can't detonate it. I can see the C4 on the truck without a roof, but on the trucks with roofs I can't see the C4 nor can I detonate it. When I place my C4 on the ground too, it automatically switches me back to my Q3A3.

However, if I place my C4 on the truck without a roof, and get another C4 from an ammo crate, I right click on my new C4 and it shows me the detonator. It doesn't beep though.

he told you exactly why it doesn't work in multiplayer. Bots in singleplayer cannot be programmed to have the 5-second delay on the timer, so they left it out. On multiplayer however, there are no bots, and the 5 second delay is in place.

Like others have said, bots are probably too stupid to take into account the arming delay that is on C4's. this means that when you set a C4 you have to wait 5 seconds without changing weapons before the C4 is armed

Also try to have a more polite attitude towards other forums users as you may get more responses

I am unsure why you are going straight to your primary weapon when placing C4 but if you are asking why you can't set it off it is because there is a 5 second delay between pulling out the detonator and being able to set it off.

I did wait 5 seconds. It didn't work. I have no attitude at all, I'm just trying to get a real answer by pointing out how you weren't answering my question. You mad?
