I am building a new PC as I just can't fathom being suck on my console for BF3. While I was researching the PC parts I couldn't help but remember all the fun times I had playing BF1943, Desert Combat, BF2 on the PC. It was honestly some of the best time of my gaming life. I got away from it as I built a "Home Theater" in my house and just got lazy and it was easier and more enveloping playing on my projector with my audio system.
But nostalgia has crept up and I want to get back into PC gaming. While looking up some old BF2 information I came across some people talking about Project Reality. This looks very interesting, I took a quick glance at the PDF Manual that was posted and it's pretty expansive.
I am wondering how long it took some of you to get the hang of it all. I looked at my stats for BF2 and it shows me at almost 200 hours, I thought I played more than that, but maybe not. I enjoy BF more than say COD because of the slower pacing and teamwork feel. It just has always felt better to me.
I am 33 and I luckily am a late night person who has a wife that enjoys her TV shows and doesn't make me watch them, and she usually ends up asleep way before me, so that means that even with a couple kids I do have some time to get back into some Battlefield gaming.
I am a serious player who enjoys working in a team enviroment and overall I just like to have fun and be able to help my team out. If I have to start out small and work my way up to different kits (which I couldn't quite make out in my skimming of the manual) then I am cool with that.
So, will I fit in, or should I just leave.
