Hence the reason to link it to the crates so it can't be totally unlimited.
hence my point, that it can't be done that way afaik.

you can give the vehicle a rearming object which'll rearm people forever and thats it afaik, that object perhaps can be turned off and on, but it'll be infinite still

could we make re-arming very slow then? for example it takes 1:30 to re-arm a H-AT?
That way it'll be easier not to exploit?

I still think the idee to give it to(even unended source) APCs is good, becouse APCs are still not working like APC schould, they are smaller tanks. Mabey this will change it a little.

PS One important thing, this work only if there are crews on positions, if possible. If its not possible im against this idee.

why not just add more supply crates in the apcs and hummers, so hummers should get 2 - 3, and the apcs maybe up to 8 crates ?

apcs should really be infantry supporting vehicles, not attacking vehicles..

Ammo, imo, should be upped with these vehicles as we move to larger maps. When one Humvee has enough ammo for barely three reloads things get iffy. Consider that those reloads could be anything from

2 hats
2 patches
4 grenades
8 clips

Should be infinite, but longer rearming times.

I don't think they can do a limited supply linked to the driver view of what they have.

This, however, will "tie" the APC's to the infrantry a little, so thumbs up for me. (Since APC's are more used as small tanks and not to transport or protect infantry advance)

I really like the idea! Perhaps a new weapon slot could be added to vehicles for internal re-arming? Similar to how logi trucks can select CSBs and Supply drops, link the crate drop to an internal re-arming object? This way, the driver would get the opportunity to decide if they do re-arm in the vehicle, or if it is being used as a re-supply vehicle, and it prevents an unlimited ammunition supply being available in the field.

Feasibility?

I would very much like to be able to rearm inside vehicles, but not on the cost that it's either unlimited supply or automatic rearm, or both. Rudd is right, it would be near impossible to implement properly with the engine we have.

No, because it does not have ammo boxes

For the Namer APC / M113 however...

It should be made so, that the same amount of ammo the boxes are carrying would be spread amongst the passengers. If vehicle drops ammo crate, it loses all ammo inside and you can pick it up from the crate.

Though there is an issue that could be hardcoded and exploited if not implemented, wich is, if a squad gets into the humvee wich has full ammo box, so 100% full, they take some ammo, wich lowers the amount left to 50%. now this is ok, but it would probably reset the % counter if the ammo when box would be dropped. So if you're smart, you could get 199% of ammo alltogether. This is only exploit i can see when not done properly, other things are perfect.

Semi on topic... could APCs get MORE ammo while IFVs less?

I think all APCs and IFVs should get this. What it's really going to do is provide APCs incentive to work with infantry and vice versa.

i like the idea however the problems have been noted by others.

A) it must be limited and
B) as it is limited some might prefer that nobody reload save for specific roles within their squad. Perhaps pushing a particular button to rearm would be appropriate, that way a person could choose not to rearm and leave the precious ammunition to perhaps their LAT and/or HAT players.
