PR wents black and shuts down after try join server [solved]

This is my problem:
When I go to deployment and trys to join a server the game wents black and shuts down.
I got a very powerfull and good computer no worries with that.

But I use windows 7.
That's maybe the problem?
I am so excited to play the game, looking awesome.
Anyone who has any kind of solution please help.

Hi,

Your problem has nothing to do with Windows 7; many of us have it, including me, and it does not cause any problems.

Try reinstalling Battlefield 2, patch 1.41, patch 1.5, and project reality all over again. A clean install often cures a lot of problems.

If it still crashes, come back here with your PC specs and we will try to assist you further.

I was downloading BF2 patch 1.5 from piratebay and I never installed it.
That's maybe the problem?
BUt anyways I got the CD install and serial at my dads house.
So thats maybe the problem.
Anyways I will enjoy videos till I get to my dads house

You have just answered your own question there. Patch 1.5 is essential for Project Reality to work. It includes many new object, enhancements, features etc.

Install that, and PR should work.

BF2>1.41>1.5(preferably not from TPB, just get official so it 100% works)>PR

Any other way won't work.


In the future, if you or anyone else who reads this thread is having issues getting PR:BF2 working, it does not go in the "bugs" thread.


A bug would be something like, for example, if you shoot a specific part of a vehicle with a pistol, it blows up.

ive noticed once 1.5 is installed you have to play a game of bf2 for about 5 mins then install PR... it has fixed this problem every time for me.
