Pretty excited about acquiring a new hard copy of BF2 tomorrow which I solely will use for PR. I've seen tons of videos from the PR devs and players on the TG server and think I can fit in well. Well... for a new guy that is. I'm a 29yr old mature gamer and have no issues following in-game orders from a SL so I think I'll do just fine in that aspect.
My main concern is running the game at an acceptable level. I can run vanilla BF2 like a dream but PR demands a bit more from my understanding.
Here is my specs, I'm aware that it's an integrated card - that's my concern.
AMD Athlon II P340 Dual Core Processor 2.2 GHz (rated at 2.6GHz)
6GBs of RAM
300GB Hard Drive
AMD M880G w/ ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250
Windows 7 OS 64 bit
If this is in the wrong forum section, I apologize... but some answers here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome a board.
Well, hard to say about your specs... The graphic card doesn't looks good.
About that you are the new guy, I hope you have red the manual. And here is something that maybe can help you to get settled with the game New Player Training

Your specs should be fine to run the game, however i recomend trying the game on medium specs at first and see how good your FPS is.

Re: New guy here and Specs guidance
Well for kicks I loaded up PR on Fallujah the other day on my super low spec laptop (designed for internet/movies here when I'm bored, not gaming) with intel i3 HD something or other integrated graphics processor. 19 fps minimum at all settings @ minimum (VD=100%), 800x600 resolution in a window.
Archer was higher, in the low 30s for the most part.. but of course the game looked atrocious with no AA and everything cranked as low as it can go. It was playable though, which is reasonably impressive. It also gave me a lot of motivation to help with the optimization as much as possible so others with low end systems can eek out a little more time with PR (see sig picture for more information)

Re: New guy here and Specs guidance
I might as well jump in here as well. Yesterday I was trying to run PR through VM Ware Fusion on my iMac, but after doing some reading decided today I should just install Boot Camp and run Windows on my iMac to play. So, I'm assuming my iMac stats then become what to look at, they are...
Intel Core 2 Duo 3.06 GHz
4 GB RAM
GeForce 9400M video card
And I believe I'll be running Windows XP.
Any possible issues? I can provide more specs if needed.

The only issue is your settings will have to be on the very lower end of the scale to run at >30fpsKrebstar wrote:GeForce 9400M video card

Appreciate the answers folks... while I know the online MP portion demands more I'm going to test out the single player portion of PR after some E3 festevities and see how my laptop fairs out and familiarize myself with basic gameplay.
