are u do a new instalation include delete all old creative things?
or u just install it over a older Version?

i got the PAX Drivers before and thats my way to install:
-deinsall and delete all Creative Drivers and Programms (i use driversweeper for it)
-restart Computer
-install the Betadriver
-restart again
-install Console and theese apps
-and final restart

i think Its always better to have a clean installation.

Well seems that reinstalling drivers makes you able to play without bsod... i have a strange problem with my xfi (pci e champion series), since i installed pac drivers, creative installer doesnt recognize my hard, so i extracted it with winrar and i go to driver/xfi folder or something like that and run setup.exe, i select install driver and then replace creative drivers, it changes settings in the console, to default, for example i have to re click on auto detect my 5.1 so it works as it should (otherway back sounds goes to front). Then i disable the EQ and some things that i personally dont like, i dont restart the pc and play pr withouth bsod. At least palyed like 4 maps yesterday.

Found a work around:

Download http://200.69.192.148/SBXF.rar

It is the drivers/SBXF folder of the new beta drivers.

I installed it, restarted PC, tested Creative XFI @ Ultra High on Project Reality, no BSOD after playing like 4 or 5 maps.

Went to sleep, played again next day, BSOD after 1 min of second map.

Installed Drivers again (SBXF, because the entire driver installer wouldn't recognize my XFI Champion don't know why, maybe because of PAX drivers I installed and unninstalled before). I didn't restart, configured my sound console again and went to play, NO BSOD after 4 or 5 maps.

Later restarted, played, and NO BSOD.

I don't wan't to test it, but installing drivers (the SBXF), not restarting and playing @ UltraHigh and I don't get BSOD.

I always select REPLACE SHARED AUDIO DRIVERS, just in case.

It worked for me, so I think will work for you.

Maybe some drivers get "replaced" after second restart? Don't know, strange, but this works, lol.

I posted earlier about changing anything with your sound drivers or replacing dlls will give you about a good day of play time, but next day without change restart or no restart it will crash 2nd map. Which tells me 2 things, first Creative keeps thinking they have fixed it because it works the first day, and second that something is changing or filling up causing the BSOD on the second day.

I am going to try the new drivers also.

Alchemy is useless with BF2 cause it uses OpenAL and not DirectSound.
But latest beta x-fi driver is not working for me..got BSOD on kashan.

I read all the posts, and it seems that you r the only one who "fix" it.
I got a x-fi ep.I did the steps as you said:
uninstall the card in device manager
uninstall other apps
reboot
use driver sweeper to clean other stuff in safe mode
reboot
install the beta driver
reboot
but when i tried to install console,it said,'setup has found a new version of creative console launcher in you system.'
so what does mean? These are still old driver files in my system even if i tried the steps above?
Hope you can help

Creative drivers also gave me BSODs as hell... Never used them anyway, but I tried that new beta driver when I read about it here, because I have some cracking in BF2.

Just use custom drivers and you wont BSOD. I'm using Daniel K's Auzentech Forte Pack for years now and never BSODed with that one. Sound quality is also much better, the only negative thing is that in BF2 theres some sound issues. But they were there with the creative drivers as well. Seems like BF2 just doesnt always likes XFI cards :D

I just freshly reinstalled my whole system and those issues are still there, so its definately not my system, but something within the game. Anyway no BSODs with it and I can live with the small sound bugs that are there
