Jonesin' For PR
Has anybody else out there stopped playing PR for a while and found yourself itchin to get back in the game?
I took a 3 week break for college finals, and when I was done, I was literally in PR withdrawal. I had a feevah and the only prescription was more PR!

I didn't have internet for 3 and a half weeks, was playing singleplayer on Lashkar Valley to get my PR fix
Its honestly hard playing anything else, I look at my start menu thinking about which games to play but nothing compares, vanilla BF2 is kind of fun but nothing else lasts.

when my internet went out, I finally bought COD:MW2 for single player
I installed it, and it wanted to download a frickin huge patch for single player before I can play.
PRSP was my only solace

Re: Jonesin' For PR
i haven't played PR for about 3 weeks now due to final projects for this quarter...got one more week to go. been sustaining myself on World of Tanks. Don't think i can hold on much longer. A friend of mine also started playing PR today and has been asking me for tips. I feel so alive just pointing everything out for him over msn.
^btw a pretty good game, Game loads instantly, round matchups within 20-30 seconds and map loads only take about another 20-30 seconds. rounds only last about 5 minutes or so, it's great for when you dont have a lot of time but want to play something tactical. I do recommend you try it out.

Information in the hands of a critical thinker is invaluable, information alone is simply dangerous.

I'm kind of the opposite to the OP, every time I look at my list of games I ponder playing PR before clicking on Black Ops instead. At first I thought it was because I didn't have enough time for PR but I played 3 hours of Black Ops last night....
Don't really know why I've stopped playing

The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "

"Meh, I'll have to start mumble now, search the right channel and stuff, wait until a slot on a good server is open, then if I'm lucky I'll be able to join a good squad, hopefully the round isn't almost over already, and then there's all the loading times, and I'm a bit exhausted today anyway... Nah, might as well just quickly start a game of Black Ops. If it's good, I'll play for hours, if not I can just stop without letting my squad down".
If that's the problem, here's the solution: Just play PR anyway. Once the game's going all that is irrelevant because it's just that awesome.

I go over the games... look at PR... meh, not wasting time for theoretical team full of nooobs, so imma play something else, wich is insta fun, or start over something or something. Rare are the days that i decide to play PR.

Just play, guys. I often think "meh" when looking at the server list, but once the game's going (preferably with a group of friends), you're far too busy having fun to be worried. And in the end you're normally happy to have decided to play PR rather than waste a few hours with some CoD game, even if it wasn't an excellent round. At least I am.
Or find regular PR playing times where you know a ton of good people you know is playing and only play then.

had exact same problem. had to bring my entire PC with me to my firend's house and update drivers/steam/PR, and activate steam offline mode, which is actually a bit tricky becuase it easily forget's your login details.[R-DEV]Rudd wrote:when my internet went out, I finally bought COD:MW2 for single player

Sadly I am out of PR since my old T61 broke down.. that must have been some 6 months ago. The new T61 replacement has an Intel on board card - so no PR for me nowadays. So now I can only simply can say:

I finally got running last night. Man, I've never known how a junkie feels when he gets his fix but that must have been pretty close.

For me it's a long period of PR until I get fed up and need to try new things. Then after a couple of weeks I'm back on it. It's normal.

Re: Jonesin' For PR
Once I was trying to stop playing PR, becouse it started to piss me off. I was trying to play many different game, but everyone of them was too easy for me(I was geting bored after 1h). When i went throught CoD:UO(for me CoD series is ending on CoD2) on the most difficult level, I started to had a dream about a PR, and then went back.
From the moment when I loved PR, I cant play any shit like CoD:BO, or BF:BC for longer then 15 min, I'm playing PR, or flight simulators(eventually strategy games).
PR is like best drugs
