Mumble + PR in a single executable?
Is it possible? To essentially be able to have mumble and PR start simultaneously by clicking a single shortcut or exe. Of course not having to choose a server and having it all be automated would be nice too... but I don't think that's gonna happen.

thats probably something in your audio mixer, right click your volume control to access it
mumble is already in the PR installer (part 3)
edit, sorry didn't realise you meant to run it

Right click the audio icon bottom on the end of your task bar
Sounds
Communications tab
Tick "Do Nothing"
Apply

Re: Mumble + PR in a single executable?
I did this a while ago.
1. Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr"
2. Create new text file in that location containing:
3. Save, then rename to PR.bat
4. Copy your PR Desktop shortcut, name it what you want, right click it and go into its properties.
5. change "pr.exe" in the target line to "PR.bat", it should now read:
6. Click OK and test the shortcut
Im on Windows 7 64 bit so you may need to adjust the paths to match your OS and install location but I'm sure you'll figure that out
And yes 2 clicks are more satisfying than 4.
Edit: and no, I've never been good at explaining in steps.
1. Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr"
2. Create new text file in that location containing:
Code: Select all
start "" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mumble(PR Edition)\PRmumble(0.5beta).exe"
start "" "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe"4. Copy your PR Desktop shortcut, name it what you want, right click it and go into its properties.
5. change "pr.exe" in the target line to "PR.bat", it should now read:

Re: Mumble + PR in a single executable?
*.bat is your way to go. Had it with other applications in the past aswell.
But does anyone know if and how it would be possible to have a "wait" or "delay" command?
Situation is this:
I have to start PR, Mumble, Fraps, D3DOverrider. Problem being that PR wont start if D3DO is already running. So i have to start it after PR launched. So I need a wait command to start D3DO let's say 30 seconds after PR, Mumble and Fraps.
Thanks for hopefully positive answers.
Kind regards,
KiloJules

Re: Mumble + PR in a single executable?
How do I add parameters into the batch file? Just add as normal? For example:

Re: Mumble + PR in a single executable?
Yes it is. You fiddle yourself a bat and it starts both. If your computer/harddrive isnt too fast you can connect with mumble before PR Loads up. Let me look it up. I disabled it because I like to see what is going on in mumble before taking a server join decision, so I would have that extra step of alttabbing back to mumble. Might as well just start em separately.Bluedrake42 wrote:Is it possible? To essentially be able to have mumble and PR start simultaneously by clicking a single shortcut or exe.
