Unable to use 2 man mech armor

I am a "noob" to PR but have been playing BF2 for a while now. In PR I have found that I cannot use any of the mech armor vehicles. If I get in and have a partner, at one point couldn't drive but could shoot. I downloaded the files again and re-installed and now I can drive but when I get into the gunners seat and can't shoot or move the turret. I have downloaded, un-installed and re-installed PR from different sites and the torrent file and it doesn't help. Does anyone have the same prob or have any suggestions?

it takes 30seconds for the turret to become active when you enter the gun, you need a driver to man teh gun in the first place

you can drive/gun/crew the armoured vehicles if you have a crewman kit, to obtain a crewman kit you need to approach the vehicle/supplycrate/supplydepot and press T (you need to be in a squad for this) and select request kit, crewman.

if you don't have a crewman kit you will not be able to operate various vehicles, such as tanks, APCs, IFVs or some of the lighter vehicles like the VN3's gun turret or teh MTLB

OK so that's all it takes is a little intelligence! Thanks, new about the kits but didn't know about the time delay

All of the info you need you could have received just by researching and reading the manual alone, REALLY should have read it first instead of wasting your time uninstalling over something as a no brainer as this.(Also ask ingame when your not in a firefight will help.)
