[Help] Adding faction "us" to huey's pilot kit req

The issue is simple. In our campaign we use the "us" and the "usa" faction on various maps as necessary. Also, we combine their assets. This is no problem in most cases, only the transport huey has a problem:
It only requires the pilot kit from the usa team, not the us. Which means every go-to-rifleman or whatelse can just hop in the Huey and use it. All the other air vehicles work, so I'm almost inclined to think this was an oversight?

Anyway, is there a possibility I can fix this manually? Or is it (as I fear) hidden in the encrypted pyc files somewhere?

So nothing I can do about it? :( .
Would there be any chance of gaining access to that particular file - nonencrypted - so we could alter that particular feature for our campaign?
