Black patches

Hello, I have some troubles with BF2 (and PR). In fact when I'm IG, I have black patches with my HD4870 :



But none with my old 8600GTS :



I have tried to dl new drivers, but the issue is still present.

My specs :

E6600
3gb DDR2 ram (But I have ordered 4gb to fix my low performance issue in PR.)
HD4870
7 32bit

Any idea ?

afaik there are 2 solutions:
1. playing on low terrain
2. downgrading graphics driver till they vanish

it seem to be a problem with modern gfx/driver vs old engine

You have an ATI card. Go to your CCC (catalyst control center) and enable Catalyst AI.

The catalyst AI is already enabled. :/

Edit : Seems to be an issue with the drivers

Vista64 + ATI 4850, upgraded to Catalyst 11.4 and 11.5, and got flickering black texture patches. Reverted to Catalyst 11.3, no problems.

Edit 2 : Solved.

Ah yes, that too. v11.3 seems to be the last version that does it correctly..

i reverted to 11.2 but the problem persisted until i enabled the catalyst ai
