Fallujah, Ramiel and karbala sidewalks.

Post by radr21 »

I haven't seen this posted before, but is it just me or in 0.95 the sidewalks of these maps have gotten worse. You can't sprint along them properly because every few steps there is a step. This is rather annoying and i would like to know if it would ever get fixed.

I would love for some servers to actually play Ramiel from time to time. I used to love that map, but like so many other, it just seems to be left out of the server loop.

I only ever seem to play about 4 maps these day, no matter how long I am in a server for. Dragon Fly, Al Basrah, Kashan, and one of the IDF maps that I now forget the name of.

I miss all the other maps. So many unused and forgotten. Such a shame.

Now adays I can't play PR without playing at least ONE round of MUTTRAH....
Seriously servers, we need some variety in the map rotations!!!... Getting REALLY tired of playing the same maps...

Servers will run what ever fills them. So if Muttrah works use it. But i agree, the maps mentioned are barely played anymore.

in my experience thats completely untrue, I can't escape Ramiel or FW lately.

the sidewalks we have now are better than before since they have little ramps on them so you don't have to jump to get on.

however that little step you feel is probably when you are stepping off one sidewalk on to another along the length which is pretty hard to escape I guess.

It doesn't need a new map pack...the servers just need to rotate ALL of the maps regularly. On the UK servers anyway. I have only ever played as German forces twice! And I do play PR a lot.

It just seems a waste of some very good maps. All with different play-styles too.

And I wouldn't have said it was the maps that necessarily fill the servers, but prob just time of day, day of the week, friends playing in that server, and server loyalty, etc.

It just seems strange (even when scrolling through the server list) that some maps are just so rare. I am jealous that you get to play Ramiel...I hardly ever see it. Or Operation Eagle (god I am **** with remembering names, I hope that is right). I love the scale of Ramiel...the atmosphere feels so spooky when your looking for a cache and haven't come across any enemies for a while, especially with the sound of the mosque in the distance. Can almost taste the dust! :D

I also actually really like that new map with the wind turbines...but have only ever seen/played it once.

It might just be me, but it seems like the ones that get played the most are the ones that have the type of gameplay that leans more towards the 'arcadier' side of PR, like Al Basrah or Muttrah (where its easy to get back to the action from the main base...encouraging a slightly more reckless attitude?). Not sure if I have explained that well but I hope you get what I mean.

Thanks Rudd. It really annoys me when you sprint along them and as u step off u make a loud noise, not great for sneaking up on insurgents.
