Anyway the suggestion sound pretty realisitic as IRL one should just over and object if the enemy is on the other side/and enemy is close, before climbing up anything the area should be clear of all enemies.... however i think that knifing the actual hook part of the rope would seem like the best suggestion, also it seems possible since things such as FOB's have health which are spawnables just like the rope?

There will be one more advantage of this suggestion. Some of the griefing fucks have found a way to crash the server, they just put many ropes in one place (throw rope, resupply from ammo crate, repeat), and the only way to get rid of those ropes is to run next map (when you ban the griefer or he just leaves). With this system everyone would be able to take down unnecessary ropes.

Wops, *stops spamming ropes on insurgency maps near caches*
Always did it so my team could get up on every roof, never realized it could cause server trouble. :o ops:

depending on the map it has to be upto 300 ropes.

Funny how only people with very limited knowledge of the BF2 engine or the coding side of this talk about this here; howabout we get a dev to answer this? Or alternatively someone could just take the time and study the rope :mrgreen:

I'm rather indifferent whether to have knifes able to remove ropes or not - both options have their advantages and disadvantages. Would be cool to know though if this is possible and how.

p.s. coolface and trollface are the same thing

Man don't blame yourself. Blame Wicca. It's not caused by a few ropes used the right way, rather by intentional constant spamming with them.

And technically speaking there is trollface only, not coolface.

The guy's name is lagopus, and that might be a proof of the crime of crashing the NwA server. He is not very smart if he put those screens in here. Man, you're gonna pay for this.
