Air Force
Hello everybody. I have a simple question. Can you explain what will be the air vehicles for Poland? I live in Poland, and i have seen Mi-24, W-3 Sokol, Mig-29 and F-16 (mig is the closer one). But i haven't seen any Heavy, assault jet like A-10. So my question is: what will be the jet of this class? i just can't imagine F-16 or Mig-29 in a role of attacking ground targets...

Re: Air Force
aw c'mon guys, he's just asking whether there'll be an air to ground plane.
he's a "below-fiver", give him some space.
stemplus: we hear little from the polish-forces mod team, infact their last update is from quite some time ago and there appears to be little up to current pr standards (please correct me if I'm wrong, polak comrades!).
in their designplan (which Rhino linked so generously) the polish comfac team only appears to mention air-superiority fighters (mig-29, f16) and helicopters.
Leusch then quotes wikipedia, showing that the mig-29 and f16 are both indeed air-to-air fighters. He then highlights the attack aircraft (air-to-ground, AT, the like), which consists only of the Su-22M4, which appears either to be the designation for the license-built mig-21 "fishbed", or another plane, neither of which is currently ingame, and I don't believe any of them is planned for any of the other comfac's. wikipedia shows though that the mig-29 can be outfitted with unguided rockets and even bombs source, perhaps this is were the polish comfac team is driving at?
gentlemen, your revulsion to the "when is it finished" questions is clear, I join you partly on that, but a simple "poland will not have an attack fighter we know of" would have sufficed.

Re: Air Force
Well, if you read more about su22, you will see that this decade is the last decade of that plane. So, i hope that polish team will get some info about what jet are we going to buy and aply it to polish forces 2.0

Re: Air Force
well, it can still take some time before polish forces 1.0 will be ready, however, the polish comfac has an own website/forum in polish. there's a link somewhere in this comfac forum.Stemplus wrote:Well, if you read more about su22, you will see that this decade is the last decade of that plane. there you might find more accurate information on the mod's status, and you're able to discuss matters with the polish faction lead as it appears to me that they don't visit this forum very much anymore.

Re: Air Force
F-16 is universal jet
This jet can also be converted to bomber.

Re: Air Force
Guy named cliwewil from AIX team has already made Su-22 as a add-on for AIX.
He has do and Polish Airforce skin for it,
also in the description he said that any mode can use it . . .
Model is really great, and despite this plane will be soon retired,my personal opinion is that
Poland should use it in PR.
