While I realize that IRL snipers work in pairs, you have to realize that in game it would be asking waaaay too much of the gamer. I believe the deviation settle times are perfect.

The game is called project reality, it shouldnt encourage lone wolfing and non-teamwork gameplay.

The GTLD is bugged, and doesn't always show the correct distance. I like Ankyles idea, where you choose distance just like the M203 and other grenade launchers.

That's why I want it, Mockingbird! This will keep the noobs away from the kit.
If you really want to snipe, you should learn it first.

so random deviation would be replaced with that sway so youll always know where the bullet will go? And Im fine with changing the distance if the sniper himself is still equipped with laser.

Keep in mind that we are only discussing the snipers physics, we're not suggesting anything, neither are we saying it will be in the game.

You realize that if THAT system goes in place it will make sniper super over powered right? Who WOULDNT want a kit that doesnt suffer from deviation? Itll be like the old crewman kit.

Just wondering, but who's to say you can't have both..?

to have proper physics in-game you have to either have all tracers for everyone or now tracers for everyone.
The way it is now is perfect, leave it as is, in fact i'd vbote for having deviation not be a cone but a sphere so that you HAVE to wait 8 seconds.

That's a pretty cool vid, never really thought that was possible with BF2 (not that i'm an expert).

Proper ballistics cannot be implemented ingame because these cause a conflict between the tracers and the correct fly-patch of the bullet. This means you have to remove tracers to be able to have ballistics. Old discussion based on Mosquills tests with the BF2 and BF2142 Refractor engine.

That's BF2142.
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

NO Lugi! Because that's the start of the 'expectation' game and i'm already still waiting for DarkFalcon (from BMS group devs). No point seeing what you can't have, it's the best way to spoil a perfectly good day (*Calvin and Hobbes).
