Well, my Texture issue is more of a game spoiler for me. when i had my ATI 2600XT i could only have the game Texture on Medium for Two Reasons.
1) Video Lagg
2) Seeing threw walls (main issue)
i just Upgraded to an XFX 4850 1Gb, now i put the Texture on High with no AA (all others on high on new and old card in Pr with no AA) played on Operation Barracuda and no Problems, until we got to Mutt city.
i can see threw walls and some times encounter other video problems, now i have my ATI drivers up-to-date 10.1 last time i checked.
Now is there any known fix for this?
Os: Vista 32bit
Card: XFX 48501Gb, Drivers: 10.1
Ram: 3Gb's
any other info need just Pm me on Via Xfire: brach1 (makes it Easier) Or Email: [email protected]
Brach
and if there is a Thread of this already sorry.

Re: Texture Problems.
I had the exact same problems as you are describing. However, it was with an older version of PR. But, it's worth a try anyway. Here's what you do:

First, you'll need to grab and install Visual Studio C++ Express 2008 from Microsoft.
Here is a link: Microsoft Express Downloads
It's free so don't worry.
Once installed, you'll need to update it, also make sure u have latest game
patch installed.
Backup the bf2.exe file, just in case.
Now, click
Start ->Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition ->Visual Studio Tools ->Visual Studio 2008 Command Prompt
(dont left click on VS 2008 command prompt though, right click on it and then click "Run as Administrator"
**If you dont run it as Administrator the fix will not work**
Then, once the black Command Prompt box is open, navigate to your battlefield 2 directory.
If you don't know how to navigate in DOS, follow this:
In Vista 32: cd c:\Program Files\ ENTER **or** In Vista 64: cd c:\Program Files (x86)\ ENTER
then usually it's "cd EA GAMES" ENTER
then "cd Battlefield 2" ENTER
NOW WRITE THIS
editbin.exe /LARGEADDRESSAWARE BF2.exe hit ENTER
It should then come up with a "Microsoft copyright or trademark" type thingy, this means it was successful.
Type "exit" and hit ENTER, and it's fixed!
64 bit Vista users can now restart and play, 32 bit Vista users follow the next step...
In a command prompt and once again **Run your command prompt "As Administrator"**
Type this command:
BCDEDIT /set increaseuserva 2900 ENTER
Now exit out of that box, restart and you're done!

I'm surprised it worked/needed:

Re: Texture Problems.
awsome I got the same issue when using the ATI control panel only way round it was to turn off all the driver added stuff such as AA, AF, catalyst AI etc etc and set them to application controled. Did it really work Brach1 I`d like to get back to high textures. With added ATI eye candy and not see through walls and black squares on the floors.
I thought the bf2.exe large textures was fixed in the last patch.
