PR:ARMA2 Training for the PR Community

So if I have the two seperate versions Arma2 and a seperate version of Op Arrowhead. Do I need to use the thing that combines them for this and PR ARMA

Sorry for posting consecutively.
I have the Steam version of both A2 and A2OA. Few days ago I started OA and played it for the first time. Today I started A2 and played it. Then going back to launch OA from the Steam client it asked the usual launch battleye, windows, play OA. In addition to those choices, the client also asked to launch combine op. So I suppose you gotta play both game at least once.

Our training servers and the official PR servers (when online) will be using BattleEye - so this needs to be running in the background when you are playing multiplayer (normally happens automatically). I believe the Steam launcher has a Combined Arms launch option if you have purchased both from them. If you have the DVD versions of both, then just launch OA and it should be combined already. The problems come when you have 1 from Steam and 1 on DVD, the best solution here is to use "Arma Launcher".

No need to worry about all this with PR - things will be much easier...

BTW - Training mission is now fully working and some nice new features added such as a score counting target range.... Mon & Wed @ 20:00 BST (UK) for the next few weeks....

TvT has been alright not many people on because of past lag and desynce problems. However it has been good. I think however every one is ready and wanting PR ArmA2 to come out now. I as I am sure as others are to impatient to wait for PR ArmA2 to come out. So could you tell the fans when its coming out? Or better yet have it come out tomorrow? lol I know this is alot to ask but TvT and training will only last so long before I go crazy waiting for PR ArmA2 to release!!!

Just finished downloading 19GB worth after purchase - so count me in!

Loadsa BF2 clan & Ghost Recon experience and some ArmA, too.

ex-soldier myself, so shouldn't be too much of a sprog.

As far as I can tell, there aren't any players on the TvT match atm. I hope some do come on.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the revised UI and handling. When it comes out, I might ask Sickboy to add the mod to SIXUpdater.

Make sure you noobs are running Combined Operations (Arma 2 and OA together) cuz I saw a lot of people getting kicked messages for not running it.

And yes - you MUST have combined ops - see above posts on how to launch with this if you are not sure... You WILL need this for PR so it's worth getting it working...

PS - next session is this Wed and then the final sessions are next Mon & Wed...

Wait a second if I am correct didnt PR say that the release would come after the few weeks of training? So if the training will be done next week... DOES THAT MEAN!!!?!?!! OMG If I am correct I am excited as a 3 year old during Christmas time!!!

That is true, however I think as I am sure the entire PR community would agree you should release it now! All I know is I bought ArmA2/OA/CO only because of PR... I mean as good as PR BF2 has been, this PR ArmA2 will be incredible... I know it wont be everything on v0.1 however PR is the best gaming communt and I know itll become addictive just like PR BF2... I became addicted to PR BF2 since v.83 and I know this mod will be just as addictive or more as PR BF2... I just have 1 tiny request release it now!!!

Those of you who have problems starting the game as Combined Operations, here's a simple launcher that will do it for you. Just double-click and you should be all set.

As this coming week is the last official pre-launch open training nights on Monday & Wednesday evenings, we will be running the TvT missions on our open public server but the basic boot camp is still available if required on our locked passworded server. Please join our TS to obtain the password (details in first post).

Hi guys I would like to take you up on the offer of ArmA2 training and look forward to playing through PR in the future.

By way of introduction I am playing through the ArmA2 campaign atm having completed the OA campaign last year. I have Reinforcements loaded but not played it yet. Not played any MP Arma2 either but have always wanted to give it a shot as decent teamplay games seem to be a rare things these days.

I haven't downloaded any of the PR modules yet I assume this isn't needed for training?
