I think - take just choose to Scope/CQC versions!!!
Choose of type sight(Aimpoint,Eotech etc) - just fun for US army and USMC,becouse others armys can't have this choose(p.s sorry for bad english)!!!

Re: Better Weapon Selection and Customization
Deviation really doesn't exist in real life, its just a BF2 coding thing that allows you to be inaccurate, and inaccuracy is integral to a weapon, a grip would not affect the weapon, but rather the shooter. And in my experience, I've been able to make better shots with a Vertical grip, on ironsights.SkaterCrush wrote:Because the foregrips (theoretically) make less deviation, but reduce accuracy, and the EOtech would have no zoom, so you'd get raped if you were engaging past 100 meters
In my opinion, the customization thing is way to much, we should just stick to the system being implemented in 0.9, allowing people to choose between a ironsight, or scoped primary weapon, NOT allowing you to customize your whole kit, which will almost inevitably lead to glitches and exploits.

I like this idea every time it is suggested
lol the PROBLEM is ther will have to be a Whole kit invention for each weapon varient :S ALot of work lol would it pay off in the long run?? TOTALY! .. deff a resuggestion but i am fully for it
if i knew how to script that sort of stuff i would do it for the PR team and save them the trouble

I feel I needed to post this link BF2 MOD: Wookie Sniper
This guy has all 7 slots filled AND father customization in a sub category. This could REALLY add to game play by giving you EXACTLY what you need for the mission.

I knew someone would say that. Would you rather me get bitched out for making another new thread or get called a necro? You can never win with some of you people here.Doc.Pock wrote:what a necro...

I know for the NCO kit in the Forgotten Hope 2 mod, they have 2 different guns in the spawn picture (for example for US a Garand and a Thompson) and you can click on the gun to choose which you want to spawn with. This could probably be useful (if the guys at FH2 would let you use it) for spawning with the AR or Medic kits. Like, if you want an ironsighted M240 instead of a scoped one you can't spawn with it, you have to spawn then get it from a crate.

hate to be an arse but your example is flawed. it's a m1 carbine or a thompsontommytgun wrote:I know for the NCO kit in the Forgotten Hope 2 mod, they have 2 different guns in the spawn picture (for example for US a Garand and a Thompson) and you can click on the gun to choose which you want to spawn with. anyway, this would be a total revision of the current weapon request system, whereby the only kits that benefit from it are the kits that are currently spawnable as there are not enough slots for spawnable kits. furthermore, it's mostly an aesthetic feature. it would be nice, no doubt about it, as it would streamline spawning regular kits. but is it worth the trouble for now?

That's the devs' opinion on it - it's been suggested before. I haven't heard them say anything about that sniper mod kit selection set though.Wakain wrote:hate to be an arse but your example is flawed. it's a m1 carbine or a thompson

I still think we should work on making this idea the norm. its going to take alot of working getting togeather every kit configuration but in the long run it will be more customizable

Taking a wild shit in the dark, you know how you have a sub menu in the asset building? Can't you use that code for the weapons? just have different text, then have it pop out the specific kit? I have absolutely no smarts in coding so don't flame me XD

That's a very interesting suggestion. A maybe more simpler system is to create more "alt" kits and extend the kit request/selection menu. If some of you play FH2 you know that the NCO kit has two weapon selections that are adjacent to each other (sorry I don't have a screenshot now I'm at the airport but I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about). I think PR could take that to another level. And customized kits can help all players improve their overall performance on the field according to their personal strengths and weakness.

this. i always asked myself why nobody ever mentioned FH2...ubermensche wrote:A maybe more simpler system is to create more "alt" kits and extend the kit request/selection menu. if its possible to have 2 kits per class in the spawn menu, we can have even more..... i think.
