T4M? Trying to establish a new Code.

Post by SterrUwe321 »

Hello ladies and gentlemen

What does "T4M?" mean, you may ask.
Well, it stands for "Target For Mortars?". Very Simple.

Sometimes if i play in a Mortar Sq and the biggest problem that we always have is that we dont get any orders. No problem you may think. But it always takes his time (in my opinion to much time in a fight) to ask the Team "Are there any Mortar Targets?" or "Target for the Mortars?".

This started to f??k me up. So i started to think about it. And found this GENIUS solution.
When the round started, i?ve written often in teamchat "T4M? = Target 4 Mortars?".
And for my surprise it worked better than i thought. Some people suddenly wrote stuff like "T4M!!"....."C5kp6 Fob".

I please you, to use this Code too! :o
I?m quite sure it will make the Mortar more effective then befor 8)

Great code! I think this problem occurs to everyone who starts a mortars squad. It happens to me aswell.

After a while it gets a little annoying repeatedly asking: "Any mortar targets?". I think, you have found yourself a good solution to solve this problem. Since youre code is less disturbing. But you have to remember theres not always feed for the mortars. I have to say, having your own spotter in the squad is helpful ;) .

If the server provides a mumble server. All the squad leaders should be on the Squadleader channel and communicate with the Mortars squad. So, then you do not really have to make use of the code. But you still reach more people when u ask "T4M?" because squadmembers don't always tell their squadleaders, in my experience. I will use this code in the near future.

Dude.

Ohh yeah, if there is a big Clan in the server (That likes to call in mortar strikes) or u have a own spotter or the TEAM IS EVEN IN MUMBLE (<- Mumble is great for Mortar teams :D ) u have mostly no problems with getting out of orders

But i?ve just figured out that this will be usefull.

And thank you for promoting "my" :) Code

ps. like u said. maybe we can find another code for "Resupplying the Mortars"?

I think it is a great idea, but it just reminds me of that idiot named "T4MSOCOM" that teamkilled the whole team with mortars and then denied it. He killed me plus about 5 other people. I was playing that AAS IDF vs Hamas map. Not sure about the server too lol.

T4MSOCOM plays just fine. I've also TKed people before by being careless or not having proper recon.

If people learned how to put mortar fire mission markers on the map it would work the same way.
You place them the same way you mark enemy units with red icons on the map. The SL running the mortars squad would then see the request and location for the mission.

NOPE.avi

He shot off one volley and nearly killed us and we told him to shift his fire. What did he do? Not shift his fire and shot off more volleys. He then got a few [Teamkill]s and continued to fire. After telling him to stop after a good 10 minutes, he finally shot off another volley got more [Teamkill]s, left the mortars and then denied that he ever teamkilled anyone.

If I do recall people tend to apologize the TK's and don't openly deny the obvious unless they purposely did it.

There were two guys in my squad that said he was banned from their server for the same thing.
