Have you tried reinstalling Battlefield 2? If you have then I don't know what to tell you, lol...

It are the maps that are causing the poor performance guys.
Some maps play with 80-100fps, some maps have huge fps drops to 10-20fps.
Even high end pc's have these issues with PR .95, PR versions before 0.9x never had this issue.
I also hope they fixed the maps in 0.96, hardly being able to run a 6 year (?) old engine on new hardware....??:
Meh, most of the maps I can't even run, like the one named above. I get 28-30 on Muttrah, anyone know why Asad Khal is so good performance wise? Oh don't even get me started on Koregnal...

Re: Sudden Performance Issues
hopefully rendering occlusion will help when we implement it in the mod, but thats not gonna be in 966, though some maps got FPS optimisations for 966

Re: Sudden Performance Issues
One thing I have noticed is that when new video card drivers come out and I don't know about it, PR is the first one to have issues with it... Try re-installing vid drivers and delete cache folder if you haven't done so.
