[0.957] Kashan Desert CTD spot
Just lost two Apaches within 1 minute due to CTD. We were both flying over G6KP1/G7KP7 @ an altitude of 750 feet. We were heading from NW to SE.
Was playing on TG, if that helps you any better.

I don't know exactly the grid but I CTD'ed (together with my gunner) multiple times in the area NE and E of the most northern bunker. Should be through the Golf grids I think. Happened on multiple servers, on different days.[R-DEV]Rudd wrote:were you supporting members? <- asking because punkbuster can be a CTD issue

CTD's happen all the time on Kashan and any other map for the Attack chopper crews. Its totally random, can be whilst strafing a target or simply hovering.
Its happened many a time to Fall & Tikkakowski/Viper in the Havok, Z10 and Apache.

Both pilots (Me and MajorIssuez) and one of the gunners (Manibou) are supporting members.
Dtacs, I know. The Kiowa also CTD'ed that round, but what I find interessting is that both Apaches CTD'ed on the exact same spot.

TG wasn't stable that night (crashed at 00:11 GMT+1). Perhaps it was server side.

The server was awful last night, but as I said, we crashed at the exact same location. So if you ask me, it has to be something about the map.TheComedian wrote:TG wasn't stable that night (crashed at 00:11 GMT+1). Perhaps it was server side.

There is only one unforgivable lie That is the lie that says, This is the end, you are the conqueror, you have achieved it and now all that remains is to build walls higher and shelter behind them. Now, the lie says, the world is safe.? The Great Khan.

its not the map because the very next round we had whole squads CTD on Beirut, and the previous map had a whole clan. the server was really unstable like everyone else predicted.

I have CTD'd in the A10 when strafing that area aswell, and seen many people CTD over it in Apaches.

3 Apaches and one A10 has CTD'ed in the G-column. Am I the only one smelling something fishy?

Definition of CTD:
A crash to desktop (or CTD) is a computer program crash which is said to occur when a program (commonly a video game) unexpectedly quits, abruptly taking the user back to the desktop. Usually, the term is applied only to crashes where no error is displayed, hence all the user sees as a result of the crash is the desktop. Many times there is no apparent action that causes a CTD. During normal function, the game may freeze for a shorter period of time, and then close by itself. Also during normal function, the game may become a black screen and play the last few seconds of sound (depending on the size of the data buffer) that was being played repeatedly before it crashes to desktop. Other times it may appear to be triggered by a certain action, such as loading an area.
