I played that games for 8 hours straight and I only killed 2 deer.

Way back at the start of PRT C8, I think, a huge chunk of NATO got sucked into that game. No surprise some of the sneakier guys managed to bag a deer every 15 mins or so somehow.

Quickly you figure out there are methods to hunting that make all our FPS training absolutely useless.

If you can figure out the tricks to tracking deer it actually becomes exciting. I once spotted a huge pack of Elk and crawled for 10 minutes to get in range for a decent shot.

It can be very relaxing.

As for the visuals, I gotta say its a pretty damned good looking forest. Not perfect but it breaths life way better than any game I've ever seen. Imagine a jungle to the same detail and you have what I dream about for OGTv2.

@Realism is not fun: Depends. If someone is a soldier (to stick with the obvious example; applies for all sorts of professions that you could play in a game) and enjoys his work, they might even enjoy a perfectly realistic game.

The Hunter is a good looking game but i think it should be better optimized!

My PC can run Crysis on mediun (yes it is a crappy PC) without any lag but this game just keeps lagguing all the time!

its not that bad but hurts the gameplay a little!

besides this i had a lot of fun playing this off course you have to pay to have all the features and to be able to hunt all the animals!

Ps: I'am completely against the harming of inocent animals but i like guns and shooting things so i think hunting games is the way to go to stop taking a life that have no idea of whats going on and do not treat you in any way!

Oh for those who don't like games where you have to pay or cannot run good, as this game looks demanding, there's another hunting game, old but so many play it online and it's really detailed it's called Deer HUnting 2005 (or deer Hunter 2005) I remember so-&-so. Such a good hunting game, decent and online works great, many play it I'll reinstall it. PS : It's not free but should be so cheap that you won't notice. Retail /online no subscribtion or such.

On topic : I'm downloading this game now, why? Because THAT FOREST is amazing.. I just love games where you can explore and have realism during it, like a realistic forest. When I heard the birds and all that in the forest in some gameplay video, I instantly said I"MMA GET IT I don't know how PR would fit with it ,but you have to admin the way PR is right now and the way forest maps are, they're pretty good The devs surely made the current PR maps feel good, like the forest maps where you can hear birds and so on, gets you in that mood.

Lived down south for many years and hunted game all the time... it was better then sex. Love me some hunting.
