sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, ive installed the patch, started PR loaded the new map and CTD'd with message: "ERROR: Unable to open BF2 process", please help.

I'm looking into it myself and I have NVIDIA. The solution on the other thread doesn't help me. I'm going to keep searching around for now.

Just to be sure, you run in XP SP3 compatibility mode and as administrator, right?
(rightclick on shortcut > properties > compatibility tab)

I just uninstalled the open beta and now i am getting this error with my .981
edit:
might have something to do with me unplugging my DVI input and swapping the ports (as in the part that was plugged into the computer is now plugged into the monitor and vice versa)

I just got this, solved it by changing my resolution to fit with my new screen, on Documents/Battlefield 2/Profile/Your profile/Video.con. Then my game started working again. Might work for others.
