Insurgent "Informants"

Post by Jack Zaitsev »

Hello everyone!

so i was just reading the few changes in the manual for the 0.96 and i always wondered if anyone has ever used the "Informants" ability that the insurgents have instead of the "Commander UAV"?

I personaly never used them and i play alot as commander even if its nearly useless as many people say in the previous versions, but now things have changed and i'am just curious to know if anyone is using them in a efective way!

Thanks for the aswers...

Cheers...

I use them all teh time when I command insurgency, usually on chokepoints to know when an enemy vehicle is coming, its great when you have some techie squads hunting around

i use them.....and i usually put them on paths branching out from there main...so i know when a vehicle is leaving its main and the direction its going. and i can tell by the speed of the reports i get if its a vehicle or dismounts.

I always used them when I was commanding. Like people are saying. It gives away enemy positions. You can shift most of your force to the informant area untill the informant on the other flank alerts you. Than you can split your force.

I love them. Especially with the new feature to delete ALL MARKERS at once.

In general they are a good timely update of enemy movements, sure nothing beats a real player actively reconning, but nothing doesn't beat some info.

Also it serves as an accurate location marker for the rest of the team to think around. A 'Way Point' marker is a whole hell of a lot easier to recognize than a Coordinate Grid.
