Questions about 0.96

i have some question regarding the new patch:
1. do RPG/PZF now have proper bullet drop matching to the sights?
2. did the vehicle volume get lowered? i feel like i cant hear choppers that far anymore
3. how does lazing on UAV work? it seems like the laze comes from a random spot and not from the uav, i cant get it to land where i want alot of times

Yes they do. They feel a lot more realistic right now. And no more sniping enemies with RPGs.
2. did the vehicle volume get lowered? i feel like i cant hear choppers that far anymore
Everything is fine for me. Perhaps you should check your effects settings.
3. how does lazing on UAV work? it seems like the laze comes from a random spot and not from the uav, i cant get it to land where i want alot of times
Don't know about this one because whenever I deploy the UAV i just lose connection to the server.

2. I have this too. Some vehicles were even capable to sneak on me. ;d

Not definitive, but I had a British jeep drive around the Train Station on Dragon, I did not once hear it's engine...very weird.

Rest of the night seemed fine though

anyone having trouble with voip on the new patch? I used to have no problems, but yesterday tried, and I don't know if it was a partial reset of my option during the install or anything, but I could be heard, but I couldn't hear anyone. mumble was perfect tho..

i first noticed lower vehicle sounds on kokan where i couldnt hear LAV and chinook till they were right infront of me. on shija i had the same witch panther and chinese apc, on silent eagle with puma and russian tank. wasnt the only one our whole squad got suprised by vehicles sneaking up to us multiple times.

its nice to have drop on the ATs now, but can someone please explain how to use rpg sight? to me it just looks like a checkerboard :D

hmm. The medic post here was closed and said that it belonged in the "bug" section and the one in the "bug" section was closed and told to go into feedback.... which is locked...

It's because the PR devs come with pretty clever plan to close feedback for some time after each release so people will actually try new things instead of creating posts containing nothing more than walls of whining. Trust me, the plan works. :)

Art ied not resupply even I consume 4 ammo box WTF???

And motorcycle not usable than before I can use it in 0.95 but now I cant I crash everywhere in map.

Yes, confirmed that the apcs, helis etc. are harder now to hear, although i have to say i no longer hear the attack heli sounds at the same level around the map when they go over like 1200 or 1000 which is great, still though it appears that it is a lot harder to hear all vehicles, for some reason.


Just tested the bike, it is a billion times easier to drive than before, soooo much better!

also tested arty IED and it re-supplies just fine, got 4 arty ieds from 3 ammo crates.

5 min ago I test it and arry ied not resupply with 4 ammo box???

And bike not easy a lot harder.You cant use mause more effective for drive it and using move keys make its crash because of high speed.

PRTA didn't have VOIP yesterday on Kokan map. If you were playing there its server-side.

I've found out that now you're likely to get dead-dead status afterbeing hit with an RPG (and in that case - probably every heavy weapon). Is that intentional? Was it only my bad luck?
In that case I have to say it'd be awesome gameplay-wise to be unable to revive the guy hit with a 120mm shell/hellfire/rpg in the face. ;D

yes i have found that dead-dead comes a lot easier when being confronted by heavier wepaons such as 50.cals etc.

And one question from me: did the devs do anything with the viewdistance? I don't mean increasing it, but changing the way of calculating it a little, because now I've got a feeling that the objects which are far from me are actually looking to be a bit closer than they were in previous version. But it might be just me, since I wasn't playing pr for 2 weeks.
