What settings would I be able to run project reality on a:

CPU: Intel Pentium D Dual Core 3.0GHz
4MB L2 Cache
800MHz FSB
64-bit Technology
Memory: 3GB DDR2
Graphics card: ATI 4350 HD 512 mb

Low/Medium, generally having a 75 fps is essential for smooth gameplay.

Firstly a better graphics card (budget US$130+), another 1GB of ram, 64bit OS, potentially a new CPU (which would mean a new motherboard & probably entirely new ram).

See this post for a great system for just over $750 or less depending on where you buy in the US. [could get away with $500 if you recycle components from old computer]

Just a better Graphics card is all you need. The ATi 4350 is a low in card. An older nVidia GTs8600 will set you back about 20/30 bucks now (if you can find one) and you would be able to play at 1920x1200 x8 AA at 120 FPS no problem at all. If you have the money, Lay your hands on a nVidia GTx 560 just so you have room to play with in new and up coming games.

The rest of the hardware you have listed is more than enough to play PR MAXed out. I Know this to be fact as I am still playing on a 2.6 dual core AMD. I Used to play on a 2.8 single core AMD with 3 Gigs of DDr 1 400FSB ram. And could play at 1920x1200 x8 AA at 120 FPS with the GTs8600. There is 2 things to that you need to speed up play of PR/Bf2. One is a non on-board sound card. Get your self an x-fi (not the music one) And I don't mean get a motherboard with built x-fi. Get a real card. And a good fast hard drive. That's it. You don't need all this Quad core super expensive CPUs.

He'll get 100FPS in Kashan and on a few other maps but in the rest it'll be around 60-80 FPS on average and dropping down to 30 in Fallujah.
I know this to be a fact because I'm running PII X3 at 3.8GHz/HD 6950 (unlocked to 6970) and that is the performance I'm getting (Full HD/max graphics) and it's been like this through multiple PC builds including a core i7 build. And no, there's hasn't been anything wrong with any of my PC's as all other games run as they should and benchmarks yield appropriate scores. PR is still the most demanding game I've got installed and that is including all the latest racing sims and crysis 1&2. They all run better than some maps on PR.

Do you really drop to ~30fps on fallujah running a i7/PhenomII + 6970?? My i7+5870 maxed out fallujah at minimum 46fps (did a fraps benchmark of it one day while playing a round) but that's @ 1680x1050... I'm guessing you're on 1920x1080?

Yes, and even under. There are parts where I see 28-29FPS. Res is 1920x1080. Graphics all high, AA level doesn't affect FPS at all unless I go 4x SSAA on forest/grass maps like kokan.

Wow that's only 17% bigger of a res, with significantly lower fps. With that in mind though, not sure if I went to that location during the round I benchmarked, it was ages ago. If I ever put my system together again (trying to hold off proper gaming as long as possible), I'll see how it goes.

After years of dealing with lag issues and low fps on games such as counter strike (I know right), I run everything on high with no problems at all :D .

All high at 1920x1080, but sometimes I do suffer a little at Insurgency maps, mainly at Fallujah. Sometimes I also notice severe FPS drops on some parts (955 @ 3.2GHz, 4Gb RAM, HD 6850)

i got similar specs, only my 955 is at 3,6GHz and i have a HD5830 and 8GB ram.
also have low fps on certain maps. i think thats a engine issue.

Its been my experience that even dropping my settings has done little to change the lag problems I've sporadically experienced.

Settings all high here and have been for the last 3 years.
