keyboard issue

I need some help figuring out how to make my keyboard work within pr. It works in the menu fine but once the game loads its a no go. I am on my laptop dell studio 1555

Since when do you have that problem?

Possibly corrupted profile files. Either try resetting the controls to default (using the Reset Defaults button) or for a more thorough approach delete the "Documents/Battlefield 2" folder. This will reset all settings, BF2 will recreate that folder on the next start up.

I just installed the game. My old profiles are still there so I will try deleting them.

if it doesnt help manually delete every BF2 folder (in documents and prog files) and reinstall

reinstalled..still no keyboard.

Are the keys recognized when you try to change them in the controls of the game?

Maybe a background program is interfering, end those unneeded tasks to see if one of them is responsible.
