If DEVs are not feeling like it is worth the effort, perhaps certain aspects can be tweeked.
Off the top of my head...
-3 life instead of 1. - Good suggestion
-More than one patch, or more healing power in a patch. - Changes the entire game mechanics requiring a new version of PR to be used on the server (Please correct me if im wrong here)
-Quicker healing ability of the medic kit. - Same as above
- Short time limits for rounds - I think around 1 hour rounds would be more than enough for something like this
I like this concept because this challenge would be the Project Reality Proving Grounds. Each player would really have to get smart or die. It would make every role critical in how you use the kit. - It would also be an extremely frustrating and tedious version of hide and seek, sniper's would be public enemy no.1
Most players that are not thinking will get killed right away. A lot of players that ARE thinking will get killed also. Only the most organized and effective will be able to survive it and win. - No squads ever going to be perfect, if you just happen to get unlucky once or twice (deployable asset lands on you whilst deploying etc...) then your entire game is ruined
It is an over simplification to say that this would just create a bunch of people playing hide and seek. I think it would make players act realistically when taking action. - Might do, likely won't I think it all depends on who's Squad Leading and if there's a commander
On an insurgency map, I think this concept would work out great. - Would be horrendous, in order to keep things relatively fair you would have to add tickets to the insurgents, now the BLUFOR can just kill ins instead of caches to win the round, just becomes an unfair version of AAS. Or you could keep limitless tickets for ins to promote going to caches and reduce caches to 3/4 per round I guess
I'd sign up for an event like this just to try it out, but I think it would likely take a lot of getting used to and it would either make for a very slow paced game or with a timer added, a realistic version of counter strike
