Hi!
I have been running Pr with no problem the last few months and other more "demanding" games. But since a month ago my computer is crashing, like the screen goes black and says that it lost signal, but the sound is still there. I suspect that it my video card is the problem.
It got worse over time, with me being able to run at least Pr to not being able and crash.
Any suggestions? I think a fan might be broken or something, which causes the card to overheat.
Specs (if relevant)
Cpu: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5300 @ 2.60GHz
Video card: GeForce GT 220
Ram: 4 gb
OS: windows 7 home premium

If the fan is broken opening the case and having a look will confirm

You might be overheating. I guess while you are checking the fan dedusting would be worth a try too. Have you checked your temperatures?
Update your drivers, maybe they became corrupted.
Some cards have multiple ports, simply try the other one.
Test a different monitor, maybe its not the card but the cable or TFT itself.

Yeah, it overheating. When display stops working saying No Signal, Card is overheated and turns off, as protection form burning down. Had one time like that with my 9600 GT with passive cooling - looked at temp and it 96'C and I was like "Holy Sh't", but problem was that the side panel was off so the heat doesn't exhausted from radiator. So yeah, check if the fan is working.

I use a GT 120 for my htpc, stupid little fans on the GT 120 and GT 220.
I bought that card for the near silent operation but had to add a 80mm case fan next to it so I could do some light gaming without the card overheating.
Before you toss the card, try to add a cheap case fan near the graphics card. Could extend the life of the GT 220 for a few months and you'll get a better card cheaper say, 3 to 9 months from now.
