PR doesn't work with only 45 minutes per round. The whole idea of such an event would be more realistic combat behaviour; limiting the time for the mission to something as low as 45 minutes doesn't help, at all.

This would be an amazing idea for an event where people will actually be organized, but I dont see it working with a server full of pubbers...

But I say +1 for this idea, only with 2 or 3 spawns each just in case of glitch deaths or something, I've always wanted to play a match like this :D

I think you'd need referees for each team who would be responsible for managing the removal of players. If there was a death related to a bug then they could decide to let him respawn. It should also be managed on a separate TS server so that you can have the guys who die disconnect from the server and then move to a "Dead" channel where they can chat about how they died etc until a new round starts.

Seems like there would have to be a lot of strictly enforced rules to keep the game fair/functional. The maps should be smaller, and the time limit should be low enough that it forces players to face off almost immediately. This could turn into a lame concept if we have one uber snipzor vs 20 some odd inf, and the sniper decides camping the rest of the round is a good idea. Sooooo many idiotic bugs that result in death means someone would have to pretty much keep eyes on every player all the time, because these kinds of things are not planned they're oddities.

I love the concept, reminds me of Hostile Intent (HL mod based on realism much like PR) on a grand scale. I'd totally be game if/when this happens.

it would be alot like americas army game . . . except it would suck if the one life game had Vehicles cuzzzz people would Tank and apc rape the entire field :)

I agree with that. It's against the whole concept to be honest.

It would be fun on a tiny map, where you have a realistic number of people for the space avaiable. In PR a squad can take the long way around and shoot people in the back. IRL the military deploys enough soldiers so this doesnt happen.

time limits wasn't really a main idea but it was just thrown in there.

However i do think that have a 2-3 hour round of this will leave the server empty, maybe allowing more than one life will keep it full and allow for bugs etc. and keep people interested as the tension builds everytime you die because you know what's gonna come next.

Yeah. I would prefer 2 lives over one to be honest. Still hard but leaves a small window for errors and ensures there will be more people on server.

We will see. Allright, the event is going to be on Friday 5th August, but we can't put announcement in the events forum because there's currently no one from the DEV team to do this.

2 lives defeats the idea... Rather set up a 10-15 minute kick for dying, so if server is not full, dead people can come back and fill it up.
