[?] Editing .con files...
I have a slight problem. I can't save con.files i've edited. The reason was that i was blocked from saving them when edited. is it my computer administration or something else??

Re: Editing con. files...
check the file wasn't set to 'read only'
I recommend using editpad lite http://www.editpadlite.com/editpadlite.html
it warns you if the file is read only, highlights it in green as well
nice program, very easy to use but much better than notepad

Re: Editing con. files...
is it a read only file? if so just go into the preferences and change it. If you're running vista it's a known problem that most .con files become read only for some reason

Re: Editing con. files...
They are not marked read only, and i'm not running vista. And editpad seemed to be working but i could not save those files. So any suggestions?

Re: Editing con. files...
Suppose your work folder is under "Program Files\EA\Battlefield 2\mods\pr_edit" or such and cause it's "system" folder you don't have write priviledges.
Mke sure you login with account having Admin priviledges. Turn off UAC.
You can as well change folder access options, something like "Everyone - Full control"...
Moreover there's a couple of threads already on forums about this - didn't care to search though

Re: [?] Editing .con files...
I know this posts a bit out of date, but I know a solution. Copy the Init file OUT of the Program Files (Possibly onto your desktop), do your editing in note pad, save, copy it back and replace the old Init file - Sorted!
