Can't assign key

I'm trying to assign left-shift as crouch but it keeps saying that key is being used by the heli controls. I've reset everything and cleared all left-shifts from all control menus but I keep getting it's being used by heli. Am I missing something, can anyone help me with this?

um.. it really shouldn't be saying that but it may mean that its being used by infantry. either clear all controls and set them up manually or (not reset to default.) you can check under :c/users/user/my_documents/battlefield 2/Profiles/000X and go to the controls.con. open it up in notepad or a text editor of your choice and look for this line
ControlMap.create HelicopterPlayerInputControlMap
Should see left shift in there somewhere should be all 0.
ControlMap.addKeyToTriggerMapping c_PISprint IDFKeyboard IDKey_LeftShift 0 0

If your not running PR as an administrator and then you go try to change controls. Its going to stop you probably.
Make sure your running as admin.

If you are then close pr
- Go to - My Documents / Battlefield 2 / Profiles ...
- Delete everything in that folder
- Try Pr again and set your controls.

yea, none of this worked...and the even weirder thing. Left-shift doesn't show up in the heli controls at all. Not even when I reset all the defaults so that I could clear and assign manually.
