Im cant find anything in then search bar! Can someone tell me how to remove nametags?

I did BR in a Locked AAS public server, and now I am editing in my local replay files. Has this been removed because of the new patch?

iirc this never worked ingame, you had to add it to the gamelogicinit.con but you gotta revert it to play online.

/mods/pr/gamelogicinit.con

make a copy to revert to

open with notepad

add

renderer.drawnametags 0

load the BR

once done revert to the copy so that punkbuster won't hate you

if only it were that easy to make punk buster stop hateing us. i tryed putting cookies and milk into my CD ROM drive to make it happy, it worked for about an hour.....

Nametags show up only for players near the 'current' player the player cam is set as. So if you set the player cam to someone on the otherside of the map and then do free cam where your trying to get the shot you will have no nametags.

Rissien thanks for that! Didn't try yet but that seems like a very clever workaround without having to "work around" in the gamelogicinit.con.

Rudd is correct. I use this code to remove those pesky nametags when im filming from the battlerecorder. Just make the backup copy (and a modified copy) outside of the battlefield 2 folder or punkbuster will hate you more. I use the desktop for quick access.
